A NASA image showing a strange object on Mars has sparked the imagination of many on social media who think this is finally smoking gun evidence that “crab monsters” exist on the red planet. This giant alien crab was captured on Mars 2015, the mysterious object closely resembles the crustacean. This crab-like object was found in a Mars rover. Its unknown exactly who found it, but it is really interesting. It does appear alive. It may be a crab-like animal, or it also may be a plant. World’s first REAL hoverboard

It’s impossible to talk about hoverboards without invoking a particular movie title, so we’re not even going to try: Remember that awesome scene from Back to the Future Part II? It’s one step closer to reality: A California startup just built a real, working hoverboard. Arx Pax is attempting to crowdfund the Hendo Hoverboard as a proof of concept for its hover engine technology — it’s not quite the floating skateboard Marty McFly rode through Hill Valley (and the Wild West), but it’s an obvious precursor to the imagined ridable: a self-powered, levitating platform with enough power to lift a...

Cloud Brightening Experiment Tests Tool to Slow Climate Change

SUNNYVALE (KPIX 5) — In a Silicon Valley research lab, scientists are working on what might be considered the option of last resort for global warming. Researcher Sudhanshu Jain said “It’s an insurance policy,” It’s called the Marine Cloud Brightening Project, and it’s designed to fight global warming by making clouds over the ocean thicker and brighter so they reflect more sunlight and cool the planet. The Sunnyvale team has reached a milestone with this high-pressure nozzle that uses salt water and looks like a normal water spray. But it took scientists a year to come up with the exact...

Locust swarms plague southern Russia

Moscow (CNN) Millions of locusts have descended on farmlands in southern Russia, devouring entire fields of crops and causing officials to declare a state of emergency in the region. A vast area of at least 800 hectares is currently being affected as the swarms of insects, each measuring about 8 centimeters long, annihilate fields of corn and other crops. It’s been more than 30 years since this part of southern Russia suffered such a dense plague of locusts, according to local officials. Officials say at least 10% of crops have already been destroyed, and the locust feeding frenzy is far...

NASA & ESA Prep Public for Aliens

First NASA chief scientist, Ellen Stofan openly admitted that alien life is ‘imminent’ and just last Tuesday, Dr. John Grunsfeld of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate announced that the agency was ‘on the verge’ of discovering life on planets other than earth. Stofan and Grunsfeld hide the fact that NASA has been lying to the public about known extraterrestrial life for decades now, and that ETs have likely have been visiting earth for centuries. Grunsfeld told a House Committee: “Are we alone? Many, many people on planet Earth want to know…. We are on the cusp of being able to answer...

Hitchhiking robot’s cross-country trip in US ends in Philly

A hitchhiking robot that captured the hearts of fans worldwide met its demise in the U.S. The Canadian researchers who created hitchBOT as a social experiment said someone in Philadelphia damaged the robot beyond repair early Saturday, ending its first American tour after about two weeks. “Sadly, sadly it’s come to an end,” said Frauke Zeller, one of its co-creators. The kid-size robot set out to travel cross-country after successfully hitchhiking across Canada in 26 days last year and parts of Europe. It’s immobile on its own, relying on the kindness of strangers. Those who picked it up often passed...

A massive fireball soared through the sky over Argentina, triggering a wave of social media posts. The mesmerizing show, which lasted just a few seconds, colored the sky green. Stealth Bomber in Denver Sky

KUSA in Denver received many reports of a stealth Bomber flighing in the Denver Skies just prior to the MLS All Star Game.  The aircraft appeared right after the national anthem. KUSA – We got lots of calls and emails from people who saw a different-looking aircraft in the sky Wednesday night. Many of the viewers were in the north metro area – which makes sense, because a stealth bomber flew over Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City ahead of the MLS All-Star game — and that’s the aircraft they saw (which means it wasn’t so stealth …)...

NASA’s Golden Record made for alien ears now on SoundCloud

The sounds of Earth. We Earthlings listen to them all the time. A baby cries. A bus rolls by. The wind keens and rain falls. These sounds and many more are included on NASA’s Golden Record, a compendium of the sounds of our planet that traveled out into space with the twin Voyager 1 and 2 missions in 1977. The phonograph disk itself was 12 inches and made from copper plated in gold. Previously, the tracks on the album were available as individual clips, but NASA this week released them as a whole recording available to listen to on streaming...
