Reseachers Use Minecraft To Test Artifical Intelligence

Behavioral psychologists have begun using mazes to study memory and learning in artificial intelligence. Junhyuk Oh and colleagues at the University of Michigan have begun experimenting with artificial intelligence machines by using mazes constructed in the 3D world of Minecraft. Oh and his team have created a set of mazes in which they set their AI algorithms increasingly complex tasks, ensuring that there is not always a clean line of site to the blocks and that the algorithm must coördinate its movement and vision to explore. The team says the best performing AI system uses deep reinforcement learning enhanced with additional memory,...

Brain To Brain Communication Now A Reality

An incredible new breakthrough is being perfected, as researcher have now confirmed brain to brain communication is possible. Getting its start in 1998, Miguel Nicolelis, a Brazilian researcher working at Duke University, started experimenting with the brains of rats, measuring the electrical output of a single neuron at a time, and in recording the information, discovered that to make their bodies move. Then moving up to the evolutionary ladder, trained monkeys to play a video game using a joystick, and found that after having recorded the brain patterns that resulted from the movement, the team took the joystick away and the...

Dark Thirty Radio – June 9th, 2016

Tonight On Dark Thirty Radio  Is The Universe Just One Mass Graveyard? Although roughly 8.8 billion habitable, Earth-size planets exist in our galaxy, we have yet to discover any other trace of extra terrestrial beings and a new study suggests that that is because they have all since died. Co-authors Aditya Chopra and Charley Lineweaver of the Australian National University based their study on the assumption they had barely had time to evolve stating “We argue that early extinction could be the cosmic default for life in the universe,” and even go so far as to speculate that they never lived...

Can You Communicate with Ghosts?

Do we all possess the ability to communicate with the spirit world? Many mediums think so and teach others how to develop their own inner intuitive skills. There was once a belief that only people who have psychic or extra sensory abilities from childhood can communicate with the spirit world but this is no longer true. In fact, some mediums didn’t realize their spiritual skills until adulthood. “In my mind it is something that comes easier to some than others,” said medium and author Exie Susanne Smith. Her abilities came naturally from childhood which were at first somewhat frightening. “I was...

Conjuring 2 Is Another Paranormal Ride Of Frights And Scares

Director James Wan (“Insidious” and “Saw”), doesn’t fail to make us jump out of our seats in Conjuring 2 like he did in the first Conjuring also based on a true story of the paranormal happenings. My team, the Winnipeg Paranormal Group, co-hosted a prescreening of the Conjuring 2 last night. The story is once again centered on real life paranormal investigators and demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren again played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The story opens with the Warrens’ leading a séance at the infamously haunted Amityville house. Their involvement with that case catapulted them into the...

The Mapping Of Jupiter

Astronomers have now been able to observe the wavelengths of radio waves coming through Jupiter’s atmosphere, allowing them to gather enough detail to map the ammonia flows that lay beneath. A  team, led by astronomer Imke de Pater from the University of California, Berkeley are working with the Very Large Array, radio telescope located in New Mexico to penetrate roughly 60 miles into the planet’s atmosphere. Team member Robert Sault, from the University of Melbourne in Australia explained “Jupiter’s rotation once every 10 hours usually blurs radio maps, because these maps take many hours to observe, but we have developed...

Mars Is Getting Closer By The Year

The US Federal Aviation Administration has just announced that they are in the process of reviewing an application to have an MX-1 lander launch to the Moon next year, land and conduct a series of analyses that will help pave the way to Mars. Moon Express, a California-based space company, hopes to launch by 2017 via a Los Angeles-based company Rocket Lab’s brand new Electron rocket, using the MX-1 lander which is powered by sunlight and hydrogen peroxide rocket fuel to explore the surface of the Moon over a two-week period in 2017. Moon Express co-founder Bob Richards says, “the coffee table-sized...

The X Files Has Done It Again

In a story line that came right out of the popular 90s drama, scientists now believe they may have solved a possible life-saving mystery DNA process, that could be used for cancer treatment and to fight antibiotic resistant bacteria. In a scene played out by Gillian Anderson, Agent Scully suspected aliens inserted branched DNA into her blood and now researchers at the University of Sheffield have used this theory to  reveal how branch DNA molecules are removed from the iconic double-helical structure – a process that is essential for all life forms. Though Agent Sully believed that DNA was added...

Renowned Scientist Concludes We Do Live In A Matrix

Respected and acclaimed theoretical physicist, Michio Kaku, claims to have developed a theory that might point to the existence of God. Kaku stated that by the use of what he calls “primitive semi – radius tachyons “ these theoretical  particles are capable to “unstick ” the Universe matter or vacuum space between matter particles leaving everything free from the influences of the surrounding universe to where he reached the conclusion that we live in a “Matrix”. Having been one of the creators and developers of the revolutionary String Theory, which is highly respected throughout the world, the information has...

Man Claims To Have Uncovered A Fossilized Bigfoot Skull

A Utah man claims to have unearthed a skull, which he believes to be that of a Sasquatch. Bigfoot enthusiast Todd May, says he made his discovery while walking home through an area he often frequented, reportedly finding interesting fossils and rocks. May says “I looked around for about half an hour, then I saw it.” and concluded that the 75 pound formation belonged to either Bigfoot or one of its ancestors. However, Midwestern State University Assistant Geoscience Professor Jesse Carlucci refuted the claim after having seen the object himself, stating it is nothing more than a rock. Carlucci added...
