Evidence of Out-Of-Body Experiences Confirmed
In a stunning revelation from the University of Southampton, studies have now proven that human thoughts do not stop when the heart stops beating, as previously thought.
Lead researcher Dr. Sam Parnia said: “Contrary to perception, death is not a specific moment, but a potentially reversible process that occurs after any severe illness or accident causes the heart, lungs and brain to cease functioning.
In a study conducted of more than 2,000 people, Dr. Parnia believes it is now confirmed that awareness remains after the heart had stopped pumping blood throughout the body, providing convincing evidence of out-of-body experiences for patients declared dead as they still experience awareness for up to 3 minutes.
Nearly 40% said that they recall some form of awareness after being pronounced clinically dead. However, almost half of the respondents said the experience was not of awareness, but rather of fear.
Dr. Parnia theorizes that “This suggests more people may have mental activity initially, but then lose their memories after recovery, either due to the effects of brain injury or sedative drugs on memory recall.”
